Two ways a Zap goes quiet without you turning it off

Zapier's help page on Zaps that aren't running lists two ways a Zap can stop doing its job on its own. (Zapier Help Center)

  1. You hit your task limit. Zapier holds all actions for every Zap in the account until you upgrade or the billing cycle resets. You can replay held runs later, if you notice.
  2. The Zap errors too often. Zapier turns it off if it errors 95% of the time and has run more than 20 times in the past 7 days. Team and Enterprise accounts get an email and a grace period first.

The fix: make the last action of each important Zap a Webhooks by Zapier POST (a paid Zapier feature) to a heartbeat URL, and set the watch to how often the Zap should run. Held or off, a missing check-in alerts you.
